Regionals and Drew's Wings

As we walked off the first leg of our flight from Wilmington to Atlanta, one of the flight attendants gave Drew his first set of "wings". I thought about how cool that was that he had experienced his first flight right at two months old and how crazy I was for doing it to him. We had level 9/10 regionals in Sarasota, Florida and I really wanted to go....so I did. Drew did awesome on all the flights and as usual, my nerves in anticipation were replaced with a confidence that, although it may not always go smoothly, I can handle flying with and traveling with a child. I was glad to get over that threshold early in my child's life. Our girls did pretty well....we didn't have as many hit routines as we had hoped but Gilly and Courtney both made nationals again! What an amazing accomplishment! I'm so proud of both of them for their excellence in this sport. We also have a regional floor champion (Rachel) and two alternates to level 9 eastern nationals (bug and emma). While I was coaching, drew hung out in the audience with Edyie and Janice. He was such a trooper! There was a great private place where I could feed him and not miss much of the girls' meet. We were in 9 of the 11 sessions so we spent a lot of time in the gym but drew was perfect! He even flirted with some college coaches that were there recruiting! Good job buddy! Anyways, it was a good but busy weekend so my phone was my only camera....here are a few pictures from our trip...

I can't believe you were in Sarasota! That's one hour away. I would have come up there!
